T-ball

Mason was in a T-ball camp last week - I think he enjoyed it. They only played a game on the last day of the camp. The rest of the time was spent working on the basics - catching, hitting, running, etc. It was fun to watch a bunch of 3, 4, and 5-yr olds have the time of their lives...most of them anyway. The girls were especially cute! Even more enjoyable was laughing at those token parents that every young kid's T-ball team has at least one of. You know who I'm talking about. The parent who thinks their 4-yr old is the next Babe Ruth, Joe Mauer, Nolan Ryan, all-star baseball player. The poor kid. Yelled at for dropping the ball, not catching it the right way, not standing the right way, not knowing which base to run to. Please, never let yourself be 'that' parent! You'll look ridiculous and everyone will laugh at you. Especially if both parents, the grandparents, and an aunt are all involved in said behavior.

Here are some pictures of T-ball cuteness!

Bathroom update...

Our bathroom is almost finished! It's fully functional right now, but still needs little things to be finished - baseboards, trim around the window, towel holder, TP holder, drawer knobs, etc. Right now I'm just loving not having to run up and down the stairs each time I need the bathroom or something in it. And anyone who's been to our house and has seen our old bathroom knows that ANYTHING would have been better than what it was before. I don't think we got 'anything' though, I think we got awesome.

I'll be adding pictures soon...
Okay! Here they are - and the wood isn't black like it appears in the pictures. It's actually a dark brown (Java, I think).

Because I can...

Why am I adding more pictures? Because I want to...and I can. It's my blog.

Mason's preschool class took a trip to the farm. He loved riding the bus there, but wasn't interested in petting any of the animals...AT ALL. Except for the baby chick. He decided to touch that one. Here are a few snapshots of that day.

Mmm, mmm, good!

Who doesn't love toes?

It's been awhile...

I realize it's been almost a month since I've added anything here. I never promised I'd be good at this! Maybe it's because we live such a boring life that there's nothing to talk about. Or maybe it's because our life is so fabulous and we're busy doing so many cool things that I simply don't have the time to sit and blog about us. I'll let you decide.

In the meantime, here are some updates -

The girl is walking! She's still in the monster-walk stage, you know what I'm talking about - that wide stance, arms out, Frankenstein-ish walk. It's fun to watch and encourage her.

We spent last Saturday with the Frederickson's. They're good friends of our's who moved from the Cities up to Duluth and we miss them dearly. Mason had a great time playing with Ruth again. We also went to Canal Park while we were there and watched an ore boat leave. I have to admit that it was a lot more fun to watch than I was expecting. We had a good time!

And finally, one of all 4 of us. When I look at this picture I think of that show on TLC - What Not to Wear. Someone call them for us...PLEASE. And mental note to self: update wardrobe. You've been wearing those pants for over 7 years.
