Blog break

I have vacation, Hayley, and Payton pictures to share. So much to catch up on! Come back soon and they should be up...

First Day of School!

It's been about 3 weeks since the start of school and Mason is loving it! He started out the first day of with a special pancake breakfast made by dad - they were in the shape of his initials, which he thought was pretty cool.

Posing for pictures before heading to the bus stop...

Friends...and now bus stop buddies!

The above picture is the last one were able to get. All was fine and dandy until the bus showed up and our happy kindergartener decided there was no way he was getting on that thing. A lot of crying and hanging on for dear life to the stroller, but Chad threw him on the bus and, as you can see below, he made it there in one piece and was all smiles as he hopped off the bus.

Getting off the bus after school...

Everyone had a good first day!

Grateful!

Lots of neat stuff happening here in Lake Elmo! We're finally under contract with buyers for our home (praise God!). They need to sell their home now and then we can add 'SOLD' to the for sale sign in our front yard. I can't wait to see that, but even more satisfying will be seeing 'SOLD' on the sign for our new home. We've had our eyes on 344 Southern Pacific since winter of 2008. To finally walk thru it's front door and have it be ours will be a surreal feeling. It's in God's hands though, so I've been at peace about everything and very content with the idea of not moving at all. I will definitely miss this little home if/when we hand over the keys to a new owner.

See this beauty? Now imagine her in red (technically, it's inferno red crystal pearlcoat. let's just go with red, m'kay?). She's (he's??) going to be joining us tomorrow! I know Chad's heart is skipping beats at the thought of finally owning a truck. Problem is, are trucks supposed to be this nice? I thought they were supposed to be able to get dirty and drive through mud & muck. Ya know, throw some junk in the back and not worry about what it looks like.
He looked at so many different makes and models and called me today with such a cute spark in his voice about this particular one. The good wife that I am, I headed straight over there and gave my approval. Although, when asked if I wanted to take it for a drive, I declined. It's huge!

Baby girl is sleeping like a champ, Mason has a buddy here for a week or two, Grandma Mary is coming for a visit tomorrow, boating with the girls on Sunday...lots to be grateful for!

Vacation, babies & boating...

Spent time in FL over the 4th of July week!

What I did: loved on Hayley, shopping, eating, boating, and loved on Hayley some more

What Chad did: golf, boating, eating, relaxing, scuba diving, and loved on Hayley

We had an awesome time with some of our most favorite people!

Chad injured his toe pretty badly while trying to save us from drifting into another boat.

He had to spend the rest of the vacation with his toe wrapped up and out of the water.

Bathroom break!

4th of July par-tay!!

Back to Hayley...

Happy Birthday, Natalie!

Pictures are worth a 1000 words, right? Therefore I'm showing you mostly pictures, less of my own words. You're welcome.

Natalie turned 2 on June 28th! We were in MI at our cabin in Kenton so we had a (very) small party for her while we were there.

Turning 2 is tiring!

One of my favorite things to do at camp - go for rides on the Rhino

See, I can drive!

Natalie's response to her first present (a bike w/training wheels) - "WOW!"
